Mixed Berry Protein Shake

This is my go-to lunch when I'm not in the mood to make myself an elaborate meal, which is most days. It's delicious, full of healthy goodness, and you probably have all the ingredients on hand. 

I recommend this for breakfast or lunch. You can even make it ahead of time, freeze it, then thaw in the fridge for about one hour before you plan to eat it. Yum!

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/4 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
1 banana
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (~20-30g protein)
1 Tbsp flax meal
1 large handful spinach
1 cup fresh or frozen mixed berries
3/4 cup ice if using fresh berries 

Instructions

Place all the ingredients in a blender in the order listed. Blend for 30-60 seconds on high until smooth.
